Ride the Surrey Hills with Family and Friends
Enjoy a Sunday on-road charity cycle ride in the glorious Surrey Hills whilst supporting a number of very worthwhile local Rotary charities in the Bookham and Horsley area.
Starting and returning to St Teresa's School, Effingham (near Ranmore Common), there is a choice of three routes to suit families (over 12s) and more experienced riders looking for a challenge.
Riders on the 2023 Event
The 2023 event was a great success, in decent weather. The number of riders grows steadily and this year we welcomed 96 on the day. All said they had a great time – and that the longer ride was aptly named the ‘challenge’!
We will have raised well over £3,000 for our two charities, helping to improve the lives of many who need some help across Surrey.
What riders thought of the event...
Congratulations to the whole Rotary team for staging such a magnificent event. These things don’t just happen and will have taken many hours of your members time. From route planning / marking, website design, cash collection, refreshment organisation, tea making and more. You even organised the weather! That’s not to mention the worthy causes that are about to benefit (which I’ve now mentioned!) Thank you and hopefully, I and my pals will be back next year!

Thank you to you for a super day on the saddle. Lovely route, great organisation and a nice bunch of people.
It’s great to see so many volunteers willing to sacrifice their time as you do. If you come to Sevenoaks, feel free to join us. We have some nice potholes and lovely scenery too.

Thanks Andrew and your wonderful team.
A top event, again! Lovely HQ, lovely grounds, warm welcome by volunteers, coffee on early.
Great signage BUT if a Garmin disagrees with signs (where some rascal has changed them) the solution is for sign fixers to SPRAY AN ARROW on the road, then we can double check.
Returning to base, another warm welcome, great food and drinks.
Don't change the formula!
